The business unit "Digital Public Services" (FOKUS.DPS) develops IT systems for digital transformation in the public sector.

What you will do


We are looking for student employees (m/f/d) to join our team and support us in international and national research, consulting and development projects. We work on making current technology trends, such as the Internet of Things, Open/Linked Data, Microservices, Single Page Applications or Blockchain, also usable for administration and the public sector. In this way, the DPS business unit supports politics, administration and business in the strategic implementation of digitization projects.


What you bring to the table


We are looking for students from the fields of administrative informatics, business informatics or comparable fields of study who are willing to familiarize themselves with new topics quickly and independently. The focus of interest is especially the conception, design and development of innovative web applications (front-end).

Knowledge in the following areas should be available:

  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Good communication and team skills

Advantageous, but not mandatory, are knowledge in the areas of:

  • have 'an eye for design', even if you're not a designer
  • understand mobile-first design and responsible design
  • You can use mockup and UI prototyping tools to communicate your ideas
  • Experience with VueJS
  • Linked Data, RDF and the Semantic Web
  • Git
  • Usability and creation of design concepts/mockups
  • Experience working in an agile environment

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
The monthly working time is 60 - 80 hours.
A fixed term of 6 months is planned. In principle, we are interested in a longer-term cooperation.
